Just over three years ago our friends Rob Evans and Chris Roberts started the With Love Project. They travelled the length and breadth of the United Kingdom on a mission to find people who produce things with a passion and a purpose. At the end of the trip they produced a beautifully bound limited edition book that documented their journey and the people they met. Following the success of their first project, Rob and Chris have set out on a second trip around the country. This time, they’ve visited 25 food and drink producers producers - from Scallop divers on the Isle of Skye to a British tea plantation in Cornwall. They've just launched a crowdfunding campaign to fund a second book - For the Love of Food.
Limited to 1000 copies, the book is a testament to the small army of British producers who are championing great produce in a sustainable way - creating new markets for kid meat, or forraging botanicals for gin from the side of Snowdon or growing micro herbs in air raid shelters under London. Featuring stunning photography and well written stories, the book is also punctuated with visits to chefs from England, Scotland and Wales who have created dishes with some of the produce the pair have collected on route.
Like the fist book, the project so far has been entirely self funded so in order to make this beautiful limited edition book a reality, Chris and Rob need your help. They need to hit their funding total – if they don’t, then they won’t receive a penny and the book can’t be printed. In return for your support, there is a host of exclusive rewards on offer from many of the amazing producers included in the project. From foraging experience and accompanying Chefs table to private gin tasting and and overnight glamping stay as well as a range of stunning photographic landscape prints.

If this book is anything like the last, and I'm sure it will be, it's going to make the perfect accompaniment to any kitchen book shelf or coffee table. Head over to the Crowdfunder to pledge your support for the project.
